Age Limit, Sex and Marital satatus

• For IMA : only unmarried male candidates who were born between January 2, 2002, and January 1, 2007 are eligible.
• For the Indian Naval Academy : only unmarried male candidates born between January 2, 2002, and January 1, 2007 are eligible.
• For Air Force Academy: 20 to 24 years old as of January 1, 2026, meaning that they were born between January 2, 2002, and January 1, 2006 (the upper age limit for candidates with a valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxed up to 26 years old, meaning that only those born between January 2, 2000, and January 1, 2006, are eligible).
• Note: Candidates under 25 must not be married. During training, marriage is prohibited. Married applicants over 25 are welcome to apply, but they will not be given married housing or be allowed to live off-site with family during the training time.
• The Officers’ Training Academy : (SSC Course for Men) is exclusively open to unmarried male candidates who were born between January 2, 2001, and January 1, 2007.
• For the Officers’ Training Academy : (SSC Women Non-Technical Course) Eligibility includes unmarried women, widows without a spouse, and divorcees without a spouse who have divorce papers. They ought to have been born between January 2, 2001, and January 1, 2007.

Educational Qualifications 

• For the I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy in Chennai : a degree from an accredited university or its equivalent is required.
• For the Indian Naval Academy : an engineering degree from an accredited university or institution
• For the Air Force Academy :  a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a degree from an accredited university with 10+2 physics and math is required.
